Purchasing Associate
SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for supporting purchasing and purchasing systems throughout the company. Helping to ensure that the proper raw material inventory levels are maintained. The position will assist management in all areas related to purchasing, inventory, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review inventory levels of raw material items and plan replenishment as needed.
- Forecast raw material needs and keep proper inventory levels and flow of needed materials.
- Place Navision purchase orders from approved vendors as needed.
- Review the status of open purchase orders to confirm ship dates and communicate any potential delays that could affect the production of our products.
- Control and review non-system items (plastic bags, glues, tapes, etc.). Take inventory of non-system items in the warehouse regularly.
- Place non-system purchase orders.
- Direct and manage the paperwork flow of one or more of our outside co-packers.
- Handle receiving paperwork of blends at all outside warehouses.
- Process receiving paperwork (with an internal check by the Director of Purchasing).
- Scan, e-mail, and file daily production verification reports and receive edits.
- Enter daily bulk stix schedule and any blending schedules from the lab via Navision.
- Manage outside warehouse(s) inventory levels and paperwork.
- Process all internal and external documents accurately and timely.
- Help review and update the current purchasing registers and purchasing SQF documentation.
- Oversees the monthly Iced Tea & Drink Mix Blend inventory reconciliation.
- Manage new label development and existing label changes for all private label accounts.
- Manage part of the monthly physical inventory process.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety and food quality fundamentals, including traceability, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans, allergens, control of contaminants, and calibration of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is a must.
- Knowledge of Navision or QuickBooks is a plus.
- Team player with strong organizational skills.

Sanitation Manager
SUMMARY:
4C Foods Corp. is seeking a performance-driven and detail-oriented Sanitation Manager reporting directly to the Director of FSQA/Assistant Director of QA. The individual in this position will develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators for the plant. The Sanitation Manager will maintain an efficient sanitation program that complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and manages the Sanitation Supervisor and crew to ensure compliance with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and timely startup of the plant each production day.
Manages up to 16 First and Second shift Union Employees and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of sanitation department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helps develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, plans and processes to ensure that sanitary performance meets standards.
- Plan sanitation requirements and activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, assigning work and communicating with sanitation staff and key stakeholders frequently and regularly within timelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment by properly implementing the IIPP (Injury Illness Prevention Programs) – Always raise safety awareness for chemical handling and equipment operation with Tag out Lock out training.
- Participate in audits and facility inspections.
- Manage sanitation Chemical supply and inventory.
- Monitor, update Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and participate in audits.
- Explain hazards and safety measures to employees and monitor compliance.
- Ensure that the plant is cleaned daily and ready to start production on time.
- Oversee daily sanitation worker duties which includes inspecting and confirming successful completion of assigned duties.
- Monitor and inspect facility, assign tasks as needed throughout the day.
- Oversee compactors and organic waste program.
- Manages annual sanitation plan, budget forecast and performance.
- Maintain and update regularly departmental documents and records, including but not limited to titration and the company wide Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Work with other departments as needed to troubleshoot issues.
- Work weekends when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- At least three years’ experience as sanitation supervisor.
- Must have the knowledge and skills required to work in a fast paced and challenging environment both inside and around the facility.
- Strong working knowledge of food manufacturing operations, including sanitation and environmental issues.
- Experienced in the use of cleaners and sanitizers, CIP and high-pressure cleaning equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and motivate employees.
- Knowledge of the GMP, HACCP and Environmental sanitation program is preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
